Florida Beach Wreck

Florida Beach WreckST. AUGUSTINE, FLORIDA—WILX-TV experiences that components of a ship thought to this point to the nineteenth century have been discovered on northeastern Florida’s Crescent Seaside. Archaeologist Chuck Meide of the Lighthouse Archaeological Maritime Program (LAMP) stated the vessel was more likely to have been a service provider ship carrying items alongside the coast. After it sank, the wreckage was most likely pushed on the seaside throughout a storm and coated with sand over time. Over the previous ten years, the lack of a minimum of ten ft of sand from the Crescent Seaside uncovered the wreck, Meide defined.
